my zombie survival guide - it's finally happened!

last night eric called me from his rounds at the hospital and told me that people were coming in with weird injuries...like BITE MARKS. i told him he had to get the hell out of there. he promised me he would leave as soon as he could and then the landlines went down. he broke his cell phone last week (or i guess charlie broke it technically) and i haven't been in contact with him since 9 pm last night.

the reports are getting crazier and crazier and i stocked up on supplies like bottled water and dehydrated foods and i also bought a gun. they were practically giving them away as news of the "riots" have spread throughout most of the northern states.

i woke up this morning and heard a lot of screaming from outside. the roads are a mess and abandoned cars are all over the streets and the sidewalks. jenn got here an hour ago and we've been hiding out in my apartment and watching news reports. the chicago stations are out, but thankfully i have cable.

the plan is to hide out here for as long as we can. i have enough food and stuff to last a while, and the power is still on. i'm also gonna keep trying to reach eric. i'm so worried something has happened to him.

if anyone is reading this, stay safe! lock yourselves up somewhere and try to find a weapon. i'm afraid this is going to get worse before it gets better. i'll post again tonight or tomorrow.
